Fisherman’s Friends (12A)

BLAKENEY FILM NIGHT

VILLAGE HALL

Friday 19th July

£5 on the door

A thorougly amiable and upbeat British comedy inspired by a true story.  A group of Port Isaac fishermen with a talent for singing sea shanties are offered the chance to sign a record deal by a London music executive.

With a touch of the Ealing Studios about it, its jokes are not particularly subtle – but the singing is robustly and winningly peformed and there are big-hearted performances all round from an excellent cast including Daniel Mays, Tuppence Middleton and Dave Johns.

Full of salty charm!  Don’t miss it.

Refreshments available.

Doors open at 6.30 for a 7pm start.
